It’s been a long wait, and there’s still no sign of the hoverboards from Back to the Future II, but this is one of those rare moments where a technological development takes place for no other reason than it basically looks cool. The hoverbike above is a prototype apparently developed entirely out of simply wanting one to exist. As one of the creators put it: “Our main motivation [is] neither profit nor commercial interest, but the fulfilment of our boyish dreams”. Awww, cheers guys! Although we’re still waiting for Ned Flanders to be revealed behind a screen with a comb and a bit of paper…

While it's not quite the best beer-related pun we've seen recently (that would be the pint of Hoptimus Prime we chanced upon in West London recently), kudos to Hanson for turning their biggest hit into something more than just a bargaining tool to snag tour support slots for Carly Rae Jepsen. The band have actually released a surprising seven studio albums since 'MMMBop' hit number one across the globe, but their new brew, MmmHops, is set to be their most satisfying release to date. The IPA, produced in partnership with craft brewery Mustang Brewing, was launched, appropriately enough, at the premiere for The Hangover III. Hopefully it won't leave as bad a taste in the mouth as the movie...
