Videos

Spencer Krug, formerly of Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown and several other miscellaneous indie/art rock outfits, is currently going under the name Moonface. While this video (directed by Marsha Balaeva) takes us on no fantastical Faraway Tree-style adventure, the stop-motion techniques employed do give everything a slightly magical feel. Some stunning, monochrome cinematography rounds off a perfect accompaniment to this highlight from Moonface’s most recent album, upon which he enlisted the considerable talents of Finnish post-rock band Siinai. It’s sounds like The Aloof’s ‘One Night Stand’ reimagined for the Twin Peaks soundtrack, and is utterly immersive.
