Die Antwoord Troll Lady Gaga

Industry News

Every time Die Antwoord make a new video it causes a splash, and the reaction to “Fatty Boom Boom” has been the biggest yet. Lady Gaga was not amused by her portrayal in the video, which features her giving birth to a prawn (those guys!), and took to the internet to respond, tweeting “i fink u freaky but you don’t have a hit. hundred thousand tIckets sold in SA. #thatmyshit”. The South African’s responded with, “lady… even tho u r ‘larger’ than us… we still cooler than u… plus we don’t have prawns in our private parts”. Ouch! She also denied accusations that the video, which sees her painted black from head to toe, was racist: “We don’t even know what blackface is”.

However, with no explanation as to where the 80% figure comes from, or any statistics relating to the accuracy of TuneSat itself, it's hard to know how much of this is a genuine warning and how much a savvy sales pitch...
