The Monitors are the DJ wing of this music blog - an eight-armed musical maelstrom, a beat-hungry party octopus, and the answer to all your dancing needs. Whether you want to nice up the dance, do the cissy strut, moonwalk, or just jump around, The Monitors have got it covered. Their sets cover every musical style ever imagined - sometimes they have to invent entirely new ones just to keep from getting bored. They've performed alongside The Specials, The Klaxons and The Maccabees, and played at festivals from Secret Garden Party to End Of The Road, as well as enjoying successful residencies at Big Chill, CAMP, and Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes.
Their prowess has been honed over many years of experience in the music industry. Kier Wiater Carnihan, who spends his days behind a record shop counter, is a professional music journalist and drummer; Khalil Asmall is an internationally-renowned DJ who's performed on every continent; Florian or Mister F spends his nights DJing between London, Paris and Tenerife; while Dan Garber is a Music Consultant - even I don't know exactly what that means, but it's a title earned from a decade spent promoting, administrating, playing, managing, organising and dancing like a lunatic at pretty much every decent bar, club and venue in Europe. Together they are The Monitors: the soundtrack to the night you'll never forget. Or never remember...
