Spotlight

Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, often abbreviated OFWGKTA or Odd Future, are a hip hop collective out of Los Angeles, California. They are young ones, the group ages between 17 and 20; but they have a sound which seems to incapsulate the whole history of hip hop, and a diverse knowledge of other genres that are infused into their tracks. They have done about 8 solo albums between them, all available for free from their website.

They have amassed a huge fanbase all over the World which is more like a cult following. They came to London at the end of last year to play one date at the drop. It sold out within 48 hours. Their concerts have frequently been compared to punk rock shows, with stagediving, moshing and antagonizing the crowd.

This video will give you a good idea of how infectious they can be = I can see it being the crossover that hip hop and rock and dance has all been looking for

Eagulls

Eagulls
So there was reports that the old guys in the offices of the majors were getting all fidgety because everyone was saying guitar music was dead. Searching hi and low for some fresh and exciting acts that weren't folk, dustup, metal or oasis cover bands seemed to be getting these guys quaking in their boots and looking at the end of the road for them and their allies, in having big selling rock bands. Then comes a mad few months where the Vaccines appear from no where, Flats get signed and now everyone is also talking about Eagulls and for good reason, a really fun messy and chaotic feel as well as some sumptuous pop tones. Brilliant, enjoy....
