Have you heard of these guys – Out Of The Afternoon? Well now you have! They have released a new single on TAPE Music called ‘I Won’t Forget You’ and it is quite seriously good!!
With thumping opening drums and bass, and lyrics taking you through the impossible understanding and continuing questioning of a relationship break up (okay not anything new there necessarily, but….) the jazz-influenced flute and to top it off the shakey indie vocals from Steven Eagles, and apparently good radio support!
From their press release: Out Of The Afternoon take their name from a Roy Haynes song (who they are influenced by) and hail from SE London. This four piece are not just any kinda newbie’s on the block. Hell no. they got heritage, and under the beady eye of their producer Pritpal Soor they have come up with something very fresh.
