Max McElligott, born and bred in Scotland, moved to London to study at LSE and his passion for music blossomed. Luckily for us music fans, he dropped out of College and became Wolf Gang. He has recently returned from the USA where he recorded his next single with producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Modest Mouse, Mercury Rev and Mogwai).

Wolf Gang’s songs are like instant modern classics, with toweringly bright and brilliant combination of archly knowing lyrics and soaring space age pop production values. His musical palette is a scattering trail of sonic references ranging through Supertramp, Roxy Music, David Byrne and many more, all melded within a framework tinted by his classical knowledge.

He and his band are playing a very rare London show at Big Chill House for the fantastic Last.fm. The catchy songs to view is “The King and All of His Men” was from last years single release on ‘Hit Club’. I have also included a rare demo of a fantastic song called “Night flying” you probably will not hear this version many other places.
