This is Dan Snaith, AKA Caribou’s latest offering, an album just released and titled Sun. For the uninitiated, Caribou, formerly called Manitoba has been a stalwart of the indie electro scene for over a decade. Originally releasing music on Leeds experimental label Leaf.
He is now represented by CitySlang and once again busts through multiple genres in his productions of his new album, merging and fusing to make something often unexpected and sometimes challenging.
Jamelia, the last on the album, features Luke Lalonde from the Born Ruffians, mixes deep house, jazz, experimental and indie and has a beautiful minimal feel…
